HOW TO: Personalize Topics on Crowdtap

Ever wish that you could personalize Crowdtap to better reflect your family’s tastes, hobbies, and passions? To just tell us what your interests are and see suggestions for opportunities catered specifically to your lifestyle? Surprise, Tappers, now you can!

When you logged into Crowdtap this week, you saw a screen prompting you to choose at least 3 things that interest you. Based on these choices, we’ve customized certain sections of the platform to be geared specifically to you.

Where, you might ask? Introducing: Topics.

Remember those mystery crowds we used to have on the platform? We’ve shown them the door. Instead, you can now join Topics to tap based on your interests and participate in discussions about the things that matter to you.

We’ve organized the Topics page based on the interests that you selected, allowing you to browse your polls and related missions more quickly. The Topics you’ve joined will always be listed at the top of your Topics page, so you can quickly dive right into whichever one is on your mind by clicking on it. To make things even easier, the page will also tell you how many available actions each Topic has.

Ready to tackle your actions for a certain Topic? Simply select a Topic from the top of the page and we’ll automatically scroll down until we find that Topic for you.

Once you start your polls for a given topic, it will bring up a modal window that stays on this page. You can actually continue to answer all of the polls available for you in that topic until they run out. Once you’re done, just close out that modal window and you’ll be brought back to your Topics page, where you can start on some missions, or dive into your polls for another Topic.

Don’t worry about committing to too many or too few Topics. You’ll always have the chance to edit out or add in new ones as you figure out which ones suit you best! If you didn’t get the chance to add in all of your interests that first time you logged in, you can add them on your Topics page by clicking on the “Edit Topics” button at the end of your list of current Topics.

Remember, all actions are optional, so there’s no need to choose a Topic that doesn’t interest you!

How are you liking our new look and feel so far? We’re hoping that you’re nodding enthusiastically at your screen as you read these tutorials and thinking something along the lines of “Finally! This is exactly what I wanted!”  However, we know we still have some room for improvement, and we need your help to make it happen. If you have suggestions or feedback on the changes, leave a comment below or email our support center.
