Thumbs Up Thursday: Pretty Homemade Pies

With Thanksgiving just a mere two weeks away, mouths are already watering at Crowdtap HQ (and it’s not just dog drool). You may have seen it on our Instagram already, but last month we held an office bake-off where we really wanted to award all of our employee participants for making our taste buds so happy. Fast forward to that time we accidentally tortured ourselves by requesting pics of pies that we’ll never get to taste. Whose bright idea what that, anyway??  Sigh.

Pie is arguably the best cold-weather tradition we can think of, what with the vast variety of options out there. Snuggle up and settle in for five or our favorite pretty pie submissions:

original-1

Clearly, Kathy C. has perfected the cherry pie. We’re sad that we can’t smell or taste this masterpiece, but our mouths are watering just looking at that red filling.

original-2

Casper got mighty close to finally achieving corporeal form this fall, and it’s easy to see what motivated him. Still, we’re betting Claudya K’s crew swooped in on that apple pie with a fresh scoop of vanilla ice cream before this ghoul could even say, “Boo.”

original-3

Can we get a “Yaaaas” for Jessica J’s top-notch composition??  And we don’t know about you, but we find that an extra crisp in our crust pairs perfectly with pear apple pie and ice cream.

Kristy B. captured our hearts with these sweet souls. Next time we need a helping hand in the kitchen, we know who to call.

Colorful autumn leaves have got nothing on this blueberry extravaganza. We’re curious, Tracie G. — just how long did it take to cut out all those leaves? Also, did you save a slice for us?

Now that we’re wishing we could invite all of you (and your baking skills) over for Turkey Day this year, major kudos goes out to so many Tappers for participating. You certainly didn’t make it any easier on us with your submissions… but at least your consolation prize is pie!

Stay tuned for next week’s photos of Tappers’ beloved veterans, just in time for Veterans Day!

The most eye catching pie is definitely Tracy G.’s blueberry Extravaganza but I wouldn’t turn down a taste of any of them.
