Members Weigh In on Men’s NYFW

The fourth iteration of New York Fashion Week: Men’s edition kicked off yesterday. The event, which is comprised of over 70 runway shows and presentations, is housed in New York and likely to inspire some of the coming season’s hottest trends. While there’s no better way to wait out the last few dregs of winter than layering up in chic cashmere or woven layers, we’re all hoping the groundhog gives the thumbs up signaling that spring is right around the corner and we can start indulging in some of the looks being premiered at Men’s NYFW soon.

Whether you wear or just like to shop for menswear, we asked you to share which designers, looks, and aspects of the week you were most excited about. Here are your answers.

Male respondents were eagerly anticipating the J. Crew line (44%), with Michael Kors (40%) coming in a close second. Lagging behind on their wish list were Emporio Armani (21%), Stella McCartney (18%) and Rag & Bone (7%.)

Guys who have their female partners shop for them can breathe a sigh of relief. Though female tastes didn’t match males results exactly, they were close enough to suggest that there will be some pretty happy male gift-receivers this Valentine’s Day.

2Female respondents were most excited for the Michael Kors men’s line (45%), followed by J. Crew (38%), Stella McCartney (22%), Emporio Armani (14%), and Rag & Bone (8%.)

We also asked how men’s fashion can inspires YOU,  regardless of gender, and the feedback was pretty inspirational:

Daniel M. tells us, “It’s inspired what I choose to wear and what daring choices I make.” Bravo to you, Daniel!

Cherie L. weighs in, “I always am a push-over for fabulous men’s coats and blazers that I can wear. I love longer coats and blazers and the Men’s NYFW has so many great looks!”

Men should have a fashion week

Not really my thing. Not many men car enough to warrant a fashion week

Comfyy fitting, and casual looking

Fashion shows are not really an interest of mine, so a men’s fashion week doesn’t really peak my interests.

I dont have a fav designer however, I love when my man actually decides to dress well and seeks fashion ideas. Mens fashion week is definitely needed.
