Tastemaker Feed: Caffeinating for Creativity

With the days getting longer and the sun shining a little brighter, our collective creative mentality is *so* ready to get down to business. You can practically feel the shift at Crowdtap HQ, whether we’re brainstorming big ideas or getting crafty with a passion project. Just walking around you’ll notice that the creative energy is at an all time high.

But #realtalk, we tend to supplement that natural joie de vivre with a routine jolt of caffeine. You can practically set your watch by the folks who break for coffee right at 3pm when that afternoon slump hits. If we could inject caffeine directly into our veins… Okay, okay — we probably wouldn’t because why miss out on all the best parts of a good ol’ cup of joe? And judging by some of the content from our fave influencers, we’re not alone (make sure to press Play on the video!).

You get what we’re saying — whether you’re staging flat-lays of a few of your favorite things or snagging portraits in local hotspots, coffee and creativity go hand in hand. So grab your fave mug, then sip and scroll on to get inspired with us.

I feel like I've rediscovered my mornings thanks to my NEW NESCAFÉ® Dolce Gusto®. It's like I magically have extra time given back to me—pop in a @dolcegustous pod, click a button, take a breath and drink coffee! You see it's like I have my own personal café in my house with a variety of coffees to choose from—oh, I'm so obsessed. Day # 1 I drank three different kinds of ☕️☕️☕️ just because I didn't have to move away from my desk and I wanted to know which was my fave. FYI I'm going to have to do that again cause they were all so good! — I’m sharing #MyDolceGusto moments as part of NESCAFÉ® X Socialstars™ #ad — ☕️🚨: visit dolce-gusto.us and use the code CoffeeChamps for 40% off your very own machine! “I’ve never officially been a morning person, but it’s always been one of those aspirations for me.  I swear I’ve read millions of articles showing how the most successful people usually wake up between 4-5 AM {GAH!} to get a kick start to their day – whether it’s spending an hour knocking out emails, working out, or enjoying a relaxing breakfast with their family.

As part of my new morning routine of waking a little earlier, I’ve been trying to spend my extra hour getting some blog work done and drinking a big cup of coffee to make waking up a little easier.”

“I can’t skip breakfast. Morning hunger needs to be dealt with or the morning just isn’t going to go well! Even if it’s just something small, like a few of these mini sprinkle scones! And the perfect pairing to a couple of mini sprinkle scones? A cup of coffee!

Before the day starts I like to sit down with a good cup of coffee and plan out what I want to accomplish. It gives me a bit of time to think before the craziness of the day begins.”

No coffee was harmed during the making of this post—just sipped and savored while we contemplated how to tilt our phone cams to make our morning cups look just as soul-curingly wonderful as the ones above. How do you jump-start your creativity? Do scones come into play? What else inspires you? Tell us in the comments below.

My husband is the coffee drinker. He starts every morning with a fresh cup while watching TV and sometimes with waffles.

I don’t have a morning routine, but when we camp a nice breakfast of pancakes, a meat and coffee kick off our day.
